1 Week Down

So I have made it through my first week of school. It wasn't so bad. I have a sweet class, and it did feel kind of good to get back into a routine. It sure was hard letting go of Makenna. Brady took her the first 2 days to Emily's. We both took her on Wednesday. Makenna smiled at me as I walked away. She had a look that I read as "Mommy, where are you going?" I'm not going to lie. My eyes were filling up. My sweet husband called me as I drove to work to see if I was okay. And it goes without saying that I rush to get her right after school! It is a very interesting school year now that I spend most of my planning period and all of my lunch pumping. Going back to work has made my milk supply go down, which really worries me.

4 Months!

Some 4 mo old pics to celebrate today!

Today, Makenna is 4 Months old! She had her dr.'s apt on Friday. She now weighs 12 1/2 lbs (30%), and is 24 1/4 in long (60%). Looks liek she may be tall and skinny. We gave her rice cereal for the first time Friday. It was hilarious! She would smile and be happy, then I would put the spoon in her mouth and she would make the funniest face. It was like she liked it, but wasn't too sure about it. Then we decided to dip her paci in it. She REALLY liked that, but then we realized how this could be a very bad path to travel! She might not want her regular paci, but a flavored one! So we aren't doing that anymore. It also made her sleep until 7 AM...9 1/2 hrs!!! WOW! I am excited about this new stage, but a little sad because that means my baby is growing up! Here is the video of her eating. It is a short clip from our phone. I started back to work this week, and yes, I was depressed. Then I feel bad abt being upset because at least I have a good job. It was very, very hard leaving Makenna. I don't like being away from my baby. At least I have had 4 good months with her. Prayers are accepted!

Back to more good news...Another friend told me she is pregnant!! Such fun times! That makes 9!!! I kind of miss it! Not ready yet, but ask me again in 2 years.

Sorry it has been a while since I have blogged. I have been so busy enjoying my last week with Makenna before I have to go back to work. I am very sad, maybe even depressed, but not really. I long for the day that I don't have to work and can stay home with all of my babies! One day.... Well, Makenna has been doing a lot of growing and changing. She has laughed out loud a lot this last week. She has also learned to roll over to her tummy! Unfortunately, she is still waking up at 3 and 4 AM. So lots of prayers there. I need her to sleep until 6 AM so that I can nurse her right before I drop her off at her sitter's house, Emily, who the kids call Moni. I will have to rely on her for pics when I go back to work. She is a definite pic taker, so no worries there. Tomorrow, Makenna and I go to WF to see Amy's new baby boy Lawson born yesterday. I can't wait! I know he is so cute. It is also Ranch Roundup, so there will be lots of fam in town to see. Makenna will get to see her great-great grandma for the first time! Yea! More pics for her to look back on and be glad she has. I don't have any pictures handy to upload, so here is a video of Makenna playing in her pink thing. The end is the best part!

Doing Donuts

Here is a picture of the beautiful B & B we visited on Friday. Isn't it gorgeous? You would never guess this is in Bowie! A perfect small getaway!
On Saturday, Makenna decided she was going to roll around a lot. I laid her down with her feet facing me. About 10-15 min later, this is how she looked.

She is continuing the turn. I think she is gaining momentum by kicking off of the wall.

She is getting frustrated as she gets stuck like a car sideways in a garage. My friend's sister actually did that!

Whew! She made it and is back to start and working on her 2nd donut! I didn't give her the chance to do it again..we had to go meet Deborah.

B & B on F in Bowie

Last Friday Makenna and I drove to Bowie to meet the ladies on Brady's mom's side of the family for a little get together. They spent the weekend at a beautiful B & B. We just went for lunch at a tea room and hung out the early part of the afternnon. Here is a bedroom at the B & B that Makenna looked so precious laying on. Yes she wore this dress the Sunday before, but she may never get to wear it again and it really fit the occasion.

Makenna and I realy had a lot of fun!

Makenna really enjoyed seeing GiGi and Grandmom. GiGi spoiled her again at a super cute boutique there in Bowie. Look how white I am compared to Karen. This white cracker needs some sun! BTW, Bowie is one of my new favorite places to go. That's right, Bowie. Ha!
